2008

67. Jack Frost – Mark – Astra – Lying top 50 – hit bale on stage 3 destroying rear quarter – dislocate knee cap after 4th stage. No rallying for a month. Forced to miss Ludlow Gravel Sprint and Wyedean Rally due to injury.

68. Malcolm Wilson - Gary - Nova - struggled with no power steering and throttle problems force retirement after stage 5.

69. Robin Hood - Gavin Collyer - Evo III - Spin on stage 1 - car got quicker as day went on - 16th O/a 16th in class.

70. DCC Stages - Mark - Astra - Off on first stage. Used rest of the day for testing.

71. Howford Hydraulics - Mark - Astra - Broken shaft cost time - 54th O/a 15th Class

72. Somerset Stages - Gary - Nova - Misfire on stage 7, too bad to continue after stage 9.

74. Rally Tukums - Dom Scott - Nova - 51st overall - 8th class - Dom's first ever rally, the youngest ever Brit to compete at 14yr old.

75. Dukeries Rally - Neil Weaver - Nova - Retired on stage 4 with smashed oil cooler whilst leading 1400s.

76. Mid Wales Stages - Gary - Nova - Retired after stage 2 with broken gearbox.

77. Quinton Stages rally - Neil Weaver - Nova - Snapped driveshaft and gear selection problems - Won 1400s, 1st in Class, 25th O/a, 1st FWD

78. Opposite Lock Rally - John Stevens - Escort Mk2 - misfire on first 2 stages, car and crew improving all day, hit bale on ss7 snapping TCA and dropping 2 mins. 40th O/a 8th Class

79. Bill Gwynn Coracle Stages - Gavin Collyer - Mitsubishi Evo 3 - power steering problems on stages 1 & 2 - good progress in the later stages to finish 26th O/a 7th in class.

80. Gulbis Rally, Latvia - Dom Scott - Nova - Blew gearbox on stage 4. Good experience for both mytself and Dom.

81. Woodpecker Rally - Gary - Nova - Steady start before running off the road after the finish of ss5, continued to take 1st BTRDA 1400 and 50th O/a 6th Class

82. Plains – Gary – Nova – Big push from the word go, car working perfectly. Crashed mid way through stage 3, too far off the road to continue.

83. Trackrod – Gavin Collyer – Evo 3 – Nearly lost it on Milners before a spin further into the stage on Gale Rigg, Off the road in Langdale losing the lamp pod but only dropping 15 seconds. 13th O/a 10th Class.

84. Harold Palin - Manby - Neil Marshall - Pug 205 1900 - Lost 4th gear on opening stage and the gearbox collapsed on the way to stage 4. Lying in top 40 on Neil's first ever event. Promising start to Neil's career.

85. Keith Knox - Otterburn - David Conley - Hillman Avenger BRM - Poor seeding resulted in catching and passing more than 10 cars throughout the day. No problems resulted in 8th O/a and 3rd in Class.

86. Premier – Gavin Collyer – Evo III – Smacked a chicane on stage 2, snapped shaft on penultimate stage whilst lying top 15.

87. Cambrian – Gary – Nova – clipped bank on stage 2 and jammed the selector. Very slippy icy stages.

88. Malton – Gavin Collyer – Evo III – slow start getting progressively faster, last langdale stage ran in thick fog – 25th O/a 13th class

89. Neil Howard Memorial – Kevin McEwan – Pug 205 – Stop for accident on stage 1 then drown car in pig shit caused by the accident, misfire until stage 4, big comeback to finish 38th O/a 6th Class.

90. Grizedale Stages – Gavin Collyer – Evo III – Quick out the blocks, crashed on stage 2 into a big hole on Kankkunan/ Mikkolas bend, back out for trophy rally on afternoon.

92. Xmas Stages – Neil Marshall – pug 205 – First real rally for Neil. Tricky conditions. 58th O/a 17th class.

100. Riponian – Alan Hughes – Mk2 Escort- Steady start to get used to new team and over 12months since Alan has been in the forest. Improving all day. 41st O/a 9th Class

101. Border Counties – Alan Hughes – Mk2 Escort – Vast improvement on previous weekend. Won our class by 5 minutes. 38th O/a 1st Class

102. Bulldog International – Alan Hughes – Mk2 Escort – Wrong tyre choice on first stage. Big attack on rest of stages with new tyres to take 2nd registered crew. Overshoot on last stage cost us the win. 28th O/a – 4th Class

103. Howford Hydraulics Rally – Neil Marshall – Pug 205 – Good pace from the start. Quickly destroyed all 4 tyres, put remoulds on the rear for one stage and car became undriveable. Back to new rubber for remainder of the day. 29th O/a – 9th Class

104. Pirelli Rally – Alan Hughes – Mk2 Escort – 53rd – Caught minute mans dust on stage 1 and then ran off the road trying to get him to see us. Entered super rally. 2nd & 3rd fastest there on but to no avail.
